All Grand Vitara models come standard with a light, aluminum-alloy 2.7 liter, 24-valve, Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) V6 engine that develops 185 horsepower and 184 ft-lb of torque, providing up to 3000 lbs. of towing capacity. Other compact SUVs come standard with lesser 4-cylinder engines.
